About this Forum
This Daily Devotions
Forum is a Christian
daily devotional sponsored by Internet Outreach Ministry, Inc. (IOM).
The devotion for each morning and evening is posted in time to be
available for your morning or evening devotional time around the
world. Each devotion consists of a
scripture from the Holy Bible with selected scriptures that expand
on the theme or topic. There is no commentary to distract
the reader.
This devotional format encourages Christians to dig deeper into their Bible
and develop a closer relationship with our Father God, our Lord
Jesus Christ and our guide and comforter the Holy Spirit.
Participating in this
Christian devotional can also benefit non-Christians as they learn what the Bible says about God, Jesus and Christianity.
The topics presented in these devotional Bible studies are often
sequential from morning to morning or evening to evening. Therefore,
you can benefit from this devotional format whether your daily devotional time is
usually in the morning or in the evening. But you will gain the most
from these daily devotions. if you can set aside ten minutes or so
both
morning and evening you will gain the most from participating in
these daily devotions.
This devotional format was originally prepared by Jonathan Bagster (1813-1872) for family
devotions and published by the American Tract Society in 1875 from
the materials compiled by the family of Jonathan Bagster. It has been adapted for this forum by Internet Outreach Ministry. Because these devotions have been made
public domain there is no cost or
obligation for Internet Outreach Ministry, Inc. (IOM) to use them as
part of our online ministry.

various titles and in various Bible versions. This gives you an
opportunity to participate in these devotions even if If you don't
have access to the Internet on a regular basis or at convenient
times to participate in these daily devotions online, the same
devotions used are available in book format in various version. Some
of the titles are Daily Light on the Daily Path, Daily Light for
Daily Living, Daily Light from the Bible, Daily Light, and Living

Join the Daily
Devotions Chatroom.
The IOM Daily Devotions chatroom gives you an opportunity to meet in
"real time" with others who are
participating in these devotions and and you can ask each other
questions or share your thoughts insights in real time. The only
condition for participating in the Daily Devotions chatroom
is to read the devotion for that morning or evening first so you will be able to join in the discussion.
One benefit of these chatroom discussions that is interesting and
helpful is when the participants share the scriptures from their
favorite version of the Bible. This often
helps others gain a deeper understanding.

Receive the Daily
Devotions by Email.
Internet Outreach Ministry, Inc.
(IOM) also sends these devotions out by email through our website server, which sends the
current morning or evening devotion to Daily Devotions email group.
The Daily Devotions that are sent out through the server arrive
in the King James version of the Bible, but you may not be comfortable
with the King James version. In that case you could just use the email
to find the scriptures for the current devotion then read them in
the version of the Bible you usually use.

Reply to Daily Devotions in our Forum.
This is where you are now. This forum is probably the most practical way of
interacting with others who are participating in this devotional,
because you can read the devotions (and any replies that have been
posted) when it is convenient for you.
On this forum the format is a bit different than on the other sites.
We only post the scripture references rather than the entire text to encourage participants to
read the scriptures in your Bible.
The entire text for each of the devotions can be found on the IOM website
in the King James Version (see the next
section) but you will gain the most from the if you
read them in a version of the Bible with which you are the most familiar.
